The good thing about this place is that the hike to the viewpoint is around 2-3 minutes. Bathrooms are not free unless you eat at the restaurant and the fee is 200ISK

Note that water fountains have been removed and the ones down at the restroom in gates D are also closed. At least as of September 2

@sunnyfun no you can go there on any car. Just need to drive slowly on the road leading to it which is maybe 2 km.

Nice trip! On Skólavörðustígur you will see one of few rainbow streets in Iceland!
