Solar Eclipse

@anthony Unfortunately it was super cloudy during the eclipse. We will have to wait until 2196 to see it again here. I uploaded a picture above which is one minute before the eclipse

September 2026 Trip

If you're landing in the morning and going straight to the Blue Lagoon then I'd recommend booking it ASAP. Slots before lunch sell out weeks in advance. For Day 2 you are backtracking a bit, maybe better to move it near the end of the trip instead (right after the Hvítserkur day). You'd save about 3 hours of driving doing that. Not sure what you want to do at Silfra, but if you are going to dive bring the diving certification along. I see a few days have no accommodation. Depending on weather you can always look at [link removed] to see all campsites in Iceland. If you're going early September it's still warm enough to camp. Most Icelandic camp sites are well equipped with showers etc. Btw nice seeing Múlagljúfur in there. When I went on a similar trip I missed it unfortunately.
